Notes

🍋 Sher’s Italian Trick — AIP Edition

If your Nomato Sauce tastes too sweet or earthy, balance it with:
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
  • A small squeeze of lemon juice near the end of cooking
  • A pinch of sea salt (or Dr. Recommended pink salt) to deepen the savory notes
That little touch of acid and salt acts the same way sugar does in tomato sauce — it rounds out the flavor, gives it that “cooked all day” richness, and makes it taste more authentically Italian.
